ELECTRONIC AIR CLEANERS

Over recent years a growing body of scientific evidence has indicated that the air within our homes and other buildings can be more seriously polluted than the outdoor air in even the largest and most industrialized cities.  Other research indicates that people spend approximately 90% of their time indoors.

Indoor pollution is made up of pollens, dust, tobacco smoke, and spores, cooking fumes, animal hairs and even bacteria and viruses.  They are trapped by the energy saving advances of tighter construction and better insulation so not only is outdoor air kept out, but indoor air is sealed in giving rise to lethargy and general malaise.

Trion high efficiency electronic air cleaners use the same principle to improve the quality of air in your home and office as is used in the sophisticated systems they designed for the US, UK and other European submarine fleets.  Trion electronic air purifiers will collect particles down to .01 microns in size and that includes those hazardous invisible particles such as tobacco smoke, atmospheric dust and bacteria, and even some viruses. HOW TRION HIGH EFFICIENCY ELECTRONIC AIR CLEANERS WORK

Trion high efficiency electronic air cleaners are designed to efficiently and effectively remove indoor pollution; they attract and retain pollutants like powerful magnets.  Millions of airborne dust, smoke and pollen particles - often so small they’re invisible to the naked eye - are carried through the air to the Trion high efficiency electronic air cleaners.  Large particles are trapped by a mechanical pre-filter.  Small particles continue through the unit to a collecting section where they are attracted to a series of earthed plates.  The polluted particles are held in this section until washed away during cleaning.  An optional charcoal filter can help to remove residual odours.

THE RELATIVE SIZE OF PARTICLES

The size of airborne particles is measured in microns - one micron is 1/25,000 inch or .001mm in diameter.  Typically, a mechanical filter will collect particles of 5 micron size and upwards, such as cement dust, pollens, fly ash and bacteria.  However, Trion high efficiency electronic air cleaners will collect particles down to .01 microns in size and that includes those hazardous, invisible particles, such as tobacco smoke, atmospheric dust and bacteria and even some viruses.  So efficient is the Trion high efficiency electronic air cleaners that up to 99% of airborne impurities that enter the unit are removed.

UNIT SIZES

Trion produce two sizes of duct mounted electronic air cleaners the model HE+1400 and the model HE+2000.  The sizes correspond to the air volume provided by the gas fired warm air unit and in relation to the Lennox G61MPVT series the selections are as follows.
